It looks like a binding post and weighs next to nothing. On a pre-fab style machine, it allows for the RCA jack to stick out the back of the machine. On a bottom style binding post frame, it does the same job and looks great. Easy to install. The rear coil wire and the back wire lead on the capacitor get soldered to the tab sticking out of the RCA plug. I will assemble the jack and adaptor if you purchase both. Now you can choose to have these pre-made to just bolt on your machine with a wire lead with a soldering lug. The plug is silver.
